total-play relaunches its cricket surfaces range

Cricket specialist total-play Ltd has re-launched its range of non-turf surfaces for match and practice play to make it easier for clubs to find the solution that meets their needs.

The company’s flagship ECB-approved, tp365 non-turf pitch system remains unchanged and is popular with cricket clubs from grass roots to professional.

Featuring the exclusive tp1 playing surface carpet and tp2 shock pad, the tp365 design is built to provide a low-maintenance and long lasting 'roll free' system. The Wilton woven tp1 playing surface is free draining, designed to encourage spin and create a balanced game.

New to the range is the tp5 non-turf pitch, designed to provide a consistent, all-weather playing surface for all round play and age groups. The design uses a tufted carpet, offering good pile height for ball spin.

Best suited to a porous aggregate-based construction, the system is built to provide a good value, long-lasting, high performing surface.

Also new and created for indoor and concrete based surfaces, is the tp6, specifically designed for use on hard, non-porous surfaces.

Using the specially developed tp6 non-porous, needle punch playing carpet with a PVC backing, the surface can be secured permanently or rolled up and stored away where the base surface is required for other uses.

The PVC backing means that the carpet is suitable for use alone or with a shock pad for enhanced surface longevity.

total-play believes that the re-launched range means that any club, regardless of size and budget, can invest in a system that will suit its needs and offer excellent value for money.

Ex-cricketer and company managing director David Bates says: "The total-play NTP range has been developed by a team with extensive experience of both playing cricket and ground management.

"We’ve differentiated between the products in the range with the aim of offering clubs real choice when it comes to the solution that will work best for them, depending on budget and circumstance."
